I thougt in Jefferson:
The true legacy of Jefferson is to be hostile to legacies.

The ’swaying away‘ of all laws in every new generation, to liberate oneself from the dead hand of ancestors and predecessors

Individual sovereinity
Removal of all forms of external authority
The individual is the sovereign unit of society

To remove all legal and political barriers to the individual initiative and thereby create an opening for the aristocracy of virtue and talent

I hope most Americans know their legacy to Jefferson.
